Misbeliefs of Good vs Evil: Astrology, Tarot and God

I believe in God and I also believe in Astrology and Tarot. I do not practice Tarot because I do not have the divine relationship one needs to accurately assess the cards. However, I have had my tarot cards pulled for me and read, with nothing more than a guide for how to get in touch with my inner compass to achieve a better me. I rely on my faith and belief in God to keep my moral compass balanced in the direction of doing the right thing. I believe that if you put aside all the misbeliefs and idealisms about Tarot being evil and enjoy the beauty of both religion and tarot, you can unleash greater potential of oneself.

God is my higher power and yet I still question some validity to the bible and religious beliefs. I am one who thinks about things far too much and wonder if there is one god why is there many religions and some of which who do not believe in God. If I only believe in my God in Christianity does that mean I am discounting others religious beliefs? If old tales legends lump witchcraft with tarot card readings, why must I still have the same belief hundreds of years later? Have we become so brainwashed that we must only believe in stories from centuries ago? I am not that person; I cannot accept that there is only one way to believe. We all put our faith in something when we need to balance ourselves, so who is to say one way is right or wrong? Therefore, I cannot believe by believing in Astrology and Tarot that I am dabbling with Satan. I did not summon Satan, I simply look to see how the moon, sun and all my earthly surroundings are and can affect my inner compass.

I recently had cards pulled for my Tarot reading and it was very enlightening. It did not foretell my future so that I can sit back and wait for things to unfold. Yet, it laid out a guide for me to properly walk my path and be in tune with my inner compass as well as my moral compass. I am using the information to focus on my strengths as well as my weaknesses to be the best version of myself. I must say the things that were discovered during the reading were so far spot on with what I have been internalizing as well as experiencing. For those who discount readings, my reader does not know me personally and did not ask questions to determine my reading. I took that reading to realign my inner compass to help me make the right decisions for the path I want to take in my future.

I read up on why the church frowned upon Tarot and it goes way back to when they associated witchcraft with reading of cards. They have held onto that belief and taught it as part of their religion. Yet I want to say so if that is the case, how is it you accept other religions? Do they also think being another religion is wrong if their God is different from the God you worship? I always wondered why religion must be so black and white, lines drawn and no ability to interpret it any other way. Yet I read the bible because it centers me and provides me balance and calmness knowing there is a God I can pray to, even if the prayers do go unanswered. I used that to correct certain actions I see myself displaying or make decisions that will benefit my growth. I am essentially creating a belief that is making me a better person. I see many “believers” of God who have missed that point of religion and that gives me even more doubt to the idealism that church is good, and tarot is evil.

I understand I have touched on an extremely sensitive topic. While I always write to help you think outside the box, I also do not want to incite a good vs evil war. I am simply implying that maybe if we learn to look outside our little boxes, we can respect other beliefs or misbeliefs.
