Starting a Small Business is a Team Sport

I have been a small business owner, I can relate to the endless hours invested, sweat, blood and yes plenty of tears. What I have learned is that it is a team sport, you need support and a team that will want you to succeed. Which is why I started helping friends create a log, a brand and sometimes a basic website. Because I understand the trials and defeats you face a small business owner. I read an article regarding the product is only as good as the team behind it. Read that again the TEAM behind it! Sometimes we need outside people even though we are slow to trust and want to do it ourselves we have to recognize our strength and our weaknesses. I absolutely love seeing people succeed, and love to help them when they have an area, they feel they can’t overcome. I try to see the greatness in everyone and their potential to be amazing, so I help them.

I have been myself struggling to see where my talents and gifts can take me. Obviously, I have a passion for cooking and writing but I also have a passion for helping others. I always wondered where I could use that, nursing was never a virtue I wanted. So here I am just a beginner who has been there and done that trying to help others. We all must start somewhere but isn’t it nice knowing you can start with someone who has passion and creativity. I mean I literally have 20 years of marketing, sales, and even graphic design under my belt. Maybe this is my true calling, to be the one who helps someone achieve what they thought they could not.

Starting a business is not easy and requires your mind to be in so many places but imagine if someone can do the leg work or dirty work perhaps. If only someone had helped me that way, I may not have cried so many nights out of frustration. But I did learn a lot, and those things I learned are tools I can use to help the next small business owner start their venture. I cannot tell you if you will be rich, but I can set you up with the right tools to attract the customer you want, the backing to get the interest you desire. So yes, the product is one part, the owner who is the brain is the crucial part, but the support system is key! I suppose that makes me a key person, business minded people will understand that. But I do not just do the things, I teach you the things, but I am always within reach to make it all go smooth. I am not some elaborate web designer, but let’s be real what new business can afford a expert web designer. I am the person who can help your business get off the ground, draw in customers via social media so that you can afford that web designer.
